Halloween 2026 in the Tehachapi Area

Tehachapi Halloween 2026: Every Trick-or-Treat, Haunted House & Pumpkin Patch

By Terri Juergens, Team Terri J · Published October 8, 2026

Looking for Halloween events in Tehachapi this year? Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, and our mountain communities are ready. From Golden Hills to Stallion Springs to downtown Tehachapi, there's a free trick-or-treat event almost every night of the last week of October, plus a haunted house, a spooky stage show, and a pumpkin patch for the whole family.

We pulled together everything worth knowing in one place so you can plan your week. Grab your costumes; here's what's happening.

Trick-or-Treat and Family Fun

Golden Hills Trick-or-Treat (Golden Hills)

Saturday, October 24, 4 to 7 p.m. at Meadowbrook Park, 21750 Westwood Blvd.

This is the biggest kids' event of the season, and it's free. Kids walk the trick-or-treat path collecting candy from local businesses, and there's a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, food trucks, and vendors. Thousands of families come out, so plan to arrive early. Questions: Golden Hills CSD, (661) 822-3064.

Trunk and Treat Yo Self

Thursday, October 29, 6 to 9 p.m. (or until the candy runs out) at Wood Family Funeral Service, 321 W. F St., Tehachapi.

A free evening of decorated trunks, candy, music, and costumes right in town.

AltaOne Trunk or Treat

Friday, October 30, 6 to 8 p.m. in the AltaOne Federal Credit Union parking lot on Tucker Road.

A free family night with candy, popcorn, lawn games, and a live DJ. Costumes welcome.

Downtown Tehachapi Treat Trail

Saturday, October 31, 4:30 to 7 p.m. in downtown Tehachapi.

Kids trick-or-treat from business to business along the downtown streets. It's organized by Funky Junk with help from the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, and it's a great way to show some love to our local shops.

Stallion Springs Trunk or Treat

Saturday, October 31, starting at 5 p.m. at the Stallion Springs Community Center, 27800 Stallion Springs Dr.

Hosted by Stallion Springs Community Parks & Recreation, with trunk-or-treating, a haunted house, costumes, and vendors.

Pumpkins and Music

Brite Creek Farms Pumpkin Patch

Every Saturday in October at Brite Creek Farm. The entrance is on Banducci Road between Highway 202 and Highline Road in Cummings Valley.

Our hometown pumpkin patch has fun for the whole family: a hay ride, face painting, pumpkin painting, a play area, and picking your own pumpkin from the patch. A pumpkin and hay ride is $12, or get the $15 all-inclusive pass, which covers every activity plus a pumpkin from the patch.

TPOPS Halloween Spooktacular Concert

Sunday, October 25, 4 p.m. (doors open at 3:30) at the ADHC building, 123 W. F St., Tehachapi.

The Tehachapi Pops Orchestra plays its annual Halloween concert in full costume, plus a radio-style play, "A Bull in Chinatown." It's free, with a suggested $10 donation for adults. Kids are always welcome, and so are costumes.

For Teens and Grown-Ups

Tehachapi Terror Haunted House at P-Dubs

Thursday, October 29, 6 to 9 p.m.; Friday, October 30, 5 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, October 31, 5 to 9 p.m. at P-Dubs in Tehachapi, in the dining room behind the arcade.

Tehachapi's own volunteer-run haunted house is back in a smaller version for three nights only. Admission is free, and donations are appreciated. Best for teens and adults who like a good scare.

The House on Haunted Hill at the BeeKay Theatre

October 16 through November 1 at the historic BeeKay Theatre, 110 S. Green St. Shows are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.

The Tehachapi Community Theatre Association stages this campy, spooky thriller inspired by the classic Vincent Price film. A millionaire offers five guests $50,000 each to spend the night in a haunted house, and things go sideways from there. It makes a great date night. Tickets are available through the theatre's website.

Halloween Party at the VFW with Overdrive

Saturday, October 31, 8 p.m. at Tehachapi Mountain VFW Post 5948, 221 W. Tehachapi Blvd.

Once the kids are home and sorting their candy, the grown-ups can head downtown for live music from the band Overdrive.

Happy Halloween from Team Terri J

A few quick tips before you head out. Many of our rural roads in Golden Hills, Stallion Springs, and Bear Valley Springs don't have streetlights or sidewalks, so give kids a flashlight or glow stick and drive slowly after dark. Evenings get chilly up here in late October, so plan costumes with a warm layer underneath.

Event details can change, so it's always smart to check with the organizers before you go. The Facebook group "Tehachapi's Halloween Town" is a great place for last-minute updates.

For some of us on Team Terri J, this is our favorite time of the year. Watching our mountain communities come together for these events is a big part of why we love living and working here. If you're thinking about making Tehachapi home, or you're ready to sell and want a local team that knows every corner of these communities, Team Terri J would love to help. Have a safe and spooky Halloween!
