Stallion Springs is a quiet mountain community in Cummings Valley, about 20 minutes west of downtown Tehachapi, at the foot of Horsethief Mountain. It’s home to about 3,100 residents, with wide-open views, dark night skies, and more space between neighbors than you’ll find in town. Unlike Bear Valley Springs, Stallion Springs is not gated and has no mandatory community-wide HOA. Instead, a Community Services District runs local services much like a small city.
Most Stallion Springs homes sell between about $350,000 and $600,000, and larger custom homes on acreage reach the $700,000s and up. Homes range from mid-size ranch houses built in the 1970s through the ’90s to newer custom builds, including brand-new construction on multi-acre parcels.
